In a recent meeting with other reading interventionists, my team was discussing which scoring rubric we should use for the comprehension conversation while using the app for running records. Should we use the Third Edition Benchmark rubrics (with a leaf symbol)? Or, should we use the rubric that can be expanded on the app itself? Thank you for your help with this!

I am not sure what the differences are between the rubrics. The new rubric was not a change in thinking but a clarification with tighter more clear directions for teachers. I would use the rubric for the third editioin which provides clearer descriptions of the reader and where instruction is needed. http://www.fountasandpinnell.com/resourcelibrary/id/163 http://www.fountasandpinnell.com/resourcelibrary/id/379
Best wishes! Debbie
