I am currently exploring adopting the F and P benchmark assessment kits for our pre-K to grade 8 independent school. We have been using DRA, but I have been interested in F and P for a number of reasons. I understand that last spring many schools refrained from using an assessment tool in a virtual setting because the validity and reliability had not been tested in that platform or mode of delivery. Understanding that home environments are a big unpredictable/unknown factor in assessing virtually, it is important that we make our best attempt at assessing student learning, especially since we may be looking at most of a year in distance learning. Do you have any suggestions for adapting the F and P benchmark assessment system in an online platform to attempt to assess growth of students in reading?
